[SynchroBlog] SynchroBlog Digest, Vol 236, Issue 2

LOL

None taken.

I said it in jest, maybe a bit of releasing since I'm surrounded by
Republicans who think Obama is an extreme socialist and I'm outnumbered.
LOL

But seriously, I am actually leaving for London on election day so I
find it quite interesting that I'll probably be drinking with the Brits
celebrating Obama's victory.

Or not.

But either way, I'll return to America because who the hell can argue
with Neil Diamond. Now that song is stuck in my head.

Everyone now, sing it with me! "Todaaaay, there coming to
America...Todaaay!"

If you're interested in free shipping and/or free training, let me know.

Better is one day...

No offense, just dialogue, and I wasn't jumping on you either David.

Hi Phil ...

Please accept my apologies ... I didn't even see David's comment as I've
been swamped lately and deleted alot of stuff.

I might have said the same to him. I'm frankly tired of the attitude of
everyone at all levels in our country that when they don't like what's
going on in any given situation, they pick up their marbles and leave.
Start a new church, or a new family, or a new ... denomination, or a new
... whatever. If you don't like people, start fresh somewhere else.
Don't like your state? Secede and join the next one. Don't like the
conversation? Walk away. Can't get everyone to agree with you? Then
they're all nuts. Find other friends; who agree with you. Then you can
be King of the Hill. ("you" is used in the metaphorical sense here).

What we all need to realize is that near and far, people are people.
Our problems will exist no matter where we are. They walk along behind
us like a shadow ... sometimes they jump in front, depending on the
position of the sun. Walking away just delays the inevitable. Stomping
on our own shadow.

Once again ... my apologies, I did not intend to offend or alienate. I
was surprised by your comment and should have taken more time with my
own. Mea culpa!

Wow - my silly comment, which was a response to David's comment has made
a point.

No one responded when David said he would leave if McCain won, but now
people respond when I say I will leave if Obama wins. I may have to
blog about the unhealthy and growing anti-Republican bias in
Christianity. I can't help but wonder if the polarization of our
politics is far more deadly than even (what we perceive to be) the worst
of candidates. Is staying and praying effectively any different than
leaving? Both are evidence of the polarization our nation is captured
in. The fact is that George is not our problem, and Obama or McCain are
not our solutions. Maybe Ben Stein is though - just kidding.

Wanting to be involved in meaningful politics somewhere, and not finding
it at home,

Phil

Oh ... now Phil ... none of us left the country when W won. Many of us
stayed and prayed for him.

Just a thought ...

Jonathan,

Are you up for pulling the list together as well? I will not be able to
put the time into it since October is upon me, and the 4th is too close
to end of Halloween in Salem.

Oh, and I will be out of the country if Obama wins. ;-) The Isle of
Man sounds nice and remote. But Cymru would give me something real to
politic about.

Voting for Ben Stein methinks.

Julie,

Yes. I'd love to see how many people we can get in on this one. Please
feel free to invite your friends.
